ClipseHellWhen I review a new release, I also give the album a score based on the quality of each individual track and the cohesiveness of the album as a whole. The following albums have scored highest this year so far. I update these Standings every time a new album breaks into my Top 20.

Update: New addition to the Top 5! Clipse Hell Hath No Fury was released during the last possible week of the year (November 30th is always my cutoff for best-of-year consideration) and enters the list at #4. In the meantime, Hard-Fi Stars of CCTV gets pushed off the list.
