EvensGetEvens When I review a new release, I also give the album a score based on the quality of each individual track and the cohesiveness of the album as a whole. The following albums have scored highest this year so far. I update these Standings every time a new album breaks into my Top 20.

It’s always nice to see Rise Against hit the dust bin.

You need to get on the Ellen Allien and Apparat album. I’ve got it on again now. It’s easily one of the year’s best. Also: Ewan Pearson’s mix album from early in the year, Sci.Fi.Hi.Fi, is conspicuously absent.

I am skeptical of this Evens steez. But I’ll have to give it a shot if you think it’s so great.

You need to review the new Charlotte Gainsbourg.

It’s my favorite chanteuserie ish since A Girl Called Eddy.
