SYNDICATE

Falling somewhere between the laid-back, riffy grooves of the Rolling Stones, the sassy glam of The New York Dolls or Richard Hell and the Voidoids, and the raw power of Iggy and the Stooges, Vue’s Maximum R&B is hardly original. But they demonstrate fearsome chops throughout a bunch of swaggering rockers and a couple brooding dirges. The production’s more polished than their bluesy Punk predecessors, but the vocals are just as crude and charismatic. While it’s extremely debatable whether we need some 21st century band trying to resurrect these vintage sounds, it’ll be hard to suppress your need to strut and prance if you give “Find Your Home” a chance.
