SYNDICATE

CheyenneCheyenne are band from Norman, Oklahoma, but like countless indie rockers this decade they’ve relocated to Brooklyn. Since the change of venue, they released an EP back in June called The Land Rush. Now, they’re scrambling to get their next LP, The Whale, out before the end of the year. The title track shows excellent promise for the future. The stomping beat, pulsing strings, roaming and chiming piano lines, and the slacker-but-pretty vocals make for an immediately catchy indie rock classic. I’m looking forward to hearing what else The Whale has to offer. In the meantime, though, check out that title track.
