Nicole Atkins is a promising and strong new voice in music. She’s from Neptune, New Jersey (just down the beach from Springsteen’s neck of the woods, Asbury Park) and she’s signed to Columbia Records. Her debut EP is out now, Bleeding Diamonds, and she’s currently working on her full-length debut.

In addition to her solid set of pipes, what I’m liking about Nicole is that her singer/songwriter pop seems kind of sweet on the surface…but there’s a darker, haunting side lurking underneath.
