Of Montreal Hissing Fauna, Are You the Destroyer? (Polyvinyl)

Following the incredibly catchy genius of 2004’s Satanic Panic in the Attic, Of Montreal is back at it again. Hissing Fauna’s inspiration comes from the birth of Kevin Barnes daughter, depression, and an unfortunate separation from his wife. This cd is my favorite of the semester. Picture the Beach Boys pop harmonies mixed with the whininess of Clap Your Hands Say Yeah, add in the synths of HelloGoodbye and you have a recipe for an incredibly catchy, intelligent cd that will be the most played album in your iTunes for weeks.
