Note: Bat For Lashes is the creation of British singer/songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and visual artist Natasha Khan. This is her debut album.
Sound: The vibe alternates from dreamy to haunting to majestic to tearjerking. Some of her musical weapons include shimmering harpsichords, floating pianos, breathy vocals, ominous basslines and both militant and dramatic percussion.

Medium Rotation tracks: “Prescilla”; “Sad Eyes”; “Tahiti”
Recommended: Fans of Bjork, Tori Amos, Blonde Redhead and PJ Harvey should find plenty to like on here, particularly on the much stronger first half of the album. The second half tends to get lengthy and sleepy.
