Sound: As expected, there’s plenty of glorious, grandiose and communal sunshine, but this time The Polyphonic Spree frequently have a harder hitting sense of urgency and political purpose. Electric guitars will actually spike out a few riffs and drum beats will actually pound in the midst of all the symphonic/choral pop.
Heavy Rotation tracks: “Get Up and Go”; “Running Away”
Medium Rotation tracks: “The Championship”; “Mental Cabaret”; “The Fragile Army”
Recommended: The Polyphonic Spree reaches some exciting and unexpectedly edgier heights on The Fragile Army. And although the mellower respites are a much needed break from all the exuberance, they usually turn into momentum-killing lowlights. Regardless, this super-energized version of The Spree can be quite inspiring when experienced in proper moderation.

Loved the way you said this “plenty of glorious, grandiose and communal sunshine.” I love me some Spree.
I can’t help but choose those words. Everything with the Spree is big and bright.
