I am soooo over “Young Folks.” Some jerk here at work played it over and over 3 months ago. It was great the first time I heard it, but unlike Billy Joel’s “Big Shot,” it does not hold up well after multiple listens.
Whistling should only be reserved for animated musicals. PBJ is best served between two slices of bread.
It’s always a shame when you hear a song too much and you grow tired of it. I’d take a few months of from “Young Folks” and come back to it and see what happens.
It’s a nice little tune. In due time, it deserves another shot.
