SYNDICATE

Sound: Late 70s/early 80s-inspired Brit pop featuring scuzzy guitars, disco synths, danceable punk energy and dub rhythms. All of these elements combine to make infectious, arena-sized anthems.
Heavy Rotation tracks:Cash Machineicon“; “Unnecessary Troubleicon“; “Stars of CCTVicon“; “Feltham Is Singing Outicon
Medium Rotation tracks:Hard to Beaticon“; “Gotta Reasonicon
Recommended: Hard-Fi may not be the newest sounding band, the choruses can occasionally get repetitive and the lyrics are sometimes lazy, but those issues are trumped by the fun, sing-and-dance-along songs. It’s hard to resist a good time.
Grade: A- (Top 20 Albums of 2006 Candidate)
