SYNDICATE

Sound: Peppy pop/rock and breezy introspection driven by the breathy, pained and cynical vocals of Adam Olenius, whose Swedish accent sounds Irish to me
Instruments: Simplistic synths, acoustic and electric guitars, strings, glockenspiel and more
Playlist Partners: They don’t stick with one sound too long, but at times you may be reminded of ‘80s U2icon, The Alarmicon, The Smithsicon, New Ordericon, The Decemberistsicon
Heavy Rotation tracks:Very Loudicon” (Strong Top 20 Songs of 2005 Candidate); “100 Degreesicon“; “Please Please Pleaseicon“; “The Comebackicon
Medium Rotation track:Shut Your Eyesicon
Recommended: They sound familiar and fresh at the same time, write catchy pop tunes and have a distinctive frontman. They could become your new favorite band.
Grade: A- (Top 20 Albums of 2005 Candidate)
