SYNDICATE

HotSpringsMontreal has been a hotbed for indie rock this decade. Bands like Arcade Fire, The Dears, Wolf Parade and many, many more have raised the city’s musical profile tremendously. Perhaps, the next band to break out of the French-Canadian city will be Hot Springs. They’ve got a powerful frontwoman who can howl like Ann Wilson of Heart (think the ’70s stuff) and spazz out and then get sentimental like Karen O of Yeah Yeah Yeahs.

Their debut album Volcano is out September 18th in Canada, and an official U.S. release is in the works.

One listen to their first single “Headrush” should pique the interest of fans of hard-rockin’ ladies.

And if you listen further, you’ll see the band has the kind of range that suggests there’s a promising future ahead of them.
