The fifth studio album from Josh Homme and his always evolving group of musicians (aka Queens of the Stone Age) is scheduled to be released in June. The record will be called Era Vulgaris and should feature guest spots from The Strokes’ Julian Casablancas, Nine Inch Nails’ Trent Reznor, past QOTSA collaborator Billy Gibbons (ZZ Top) and frequent QOTSA collaborator Mark Lanegan.
They’ve just posted a teeny little sample of what to expect on YouTube. It’s a classic, killer riff that suggests there will be at least one great QOTSA song in the not too distant future. Here’s hoping for many more.
