Conor Oberst (aka Bright Eyes), one of the finest lyricists of our time, will release his next full length album Cassadaga on April 10th. The first single, “Four Winds,” will officially come out on March 6th and include 5 exclusive b-sides.

According to Saddle Creek Records, Cassadaga is “deftly poetic” and has “all of the storytelling seductiveness of earlier work.”

Those descriptions sound quite promising. The top-notch songwriting in Mr. Oberst’s work is a major part of what makes his music so captivating. Then his ability to turn his heady ideas into accessible gems makes Bright Eyes recordings truly special. If the spirited alt country rock of “Four Winds” is any indication, we may be blessed with another Bright Eyes masterpiece on April 10th.
