Tomorrow (Tuesday, November 14th) Microsoft will release their Zune MP3 player. Positioning itself as a direct competitor to the iPod, the new device boasts non-iPod features like file sharing, Wi-Fi and an FM Tuner. Today (Monday, November 13th) there will be six free “secret” launch party shows in six U.S. cities.
Secret Machines will be playing at West Lake Plaza in Seattle at 11:50am today. For more info visit Seattlest.com.
Lupe Fiasco will be performing at 401 Michigan Avenue at 4:45pm today.
Queens of the Stone Age will rock NY at 9pm tonight. The venue will be revealed on brooklynvegan.com today.
Red Hot Chili Peppers will play in LA at 8pm tonight. The venue will be revealed on laist.com today.
T.I. will perform in Atlanta at 3:30pm today. The venue will be revealed here.
Morgan Heritage Band and Richie Spice will play in Miami at 5:30pm. The venue will be revealed here.
Again, all shows are free.
Some iPod haters have been waiting for the kind of features Zune has to offer. Me, I’m gonna wait awhile and see how people like their Zunes. I’m in no rush whatsoever to give up on iPod.
