This Moment in Black History It Takes A Nation of Assholes to Hold Us Back (Cold Sweat)

This CD got better and better every time I heard it. It’s pure noisecore at it’s finest. It Takes A Nation of Assholes… comes at you loud, comes at you fast, and will kick your ass. This Moment in Black History takes the hardcore formula from the early 80’s, adds some synth, the garage punk mentality of The Hives, and the noisecore rhythms of bands like Dillinger Four to make a brilliant album. The vocals are delivered at ear-splitting levels, the guitars are super distorted, and the drums sound like two bulldozers smashing into each other in 4/4 time. But that’s what makes it all so beautiful. It’s a resurrection of 80’s hardcore with a modern kick. It’s refreshing. This is how hard rock should be made. TMIBH makes most of the “xxxHARDCORExxx” groups the kiddies listen to nowadays seem like a bunch of pussies. This Moment in Black History is good enough to destroy the rock charts and kick emo out the door.
