The Feist is a pleasant surprise. That Ewan Pearson remix is aces, but, in the general, the CD tastes like a cold plate of leftovers. In the meantime we’ve all fallen in and out of love with Bookashade and Villalobos.
What’s the state of Saddle Creek at the end of 2006? Should Ben care?
Saddle Creek is always a major threat with Conor Oberst (Bright Eyes/Desaparecidos)…perhaps the best lyricist of the decade.
Plus Cursive just put out their best album. And Now It’s Overhead continue to make odd and refreshing music you can’t quite put your finger on.
Can’t wait for another Criteria album either.
